As a mom of two, I remember the anticipation of waiting for my babies to arrive, 9 months feels like forever sometimes. But all of that waiting (and the swollen ankles) will be so worth it when you look into your baby’s eyes and know that your dreams have come true. It’s truly an incredible time in your life.
In my Kingston Newborn Photography Studio I create portraits for parents who want colourful and creative portraits of their newborn and family that will make your heart happy as you look back on them year after year. Beautiful portraits of their sleepy smiles, squishy arm rolls, adorable tiny toes and those big, beautiful eyes looking at you.
Capturing those special details that make your baby unique, and your growing connection with your little one, will make these photographs some of the most important you’ll ever take in your life.

In my newborn photography studio, you’ll be able to sit back, relax, and watch as I expertly pose your newborn baby in sets created in my signature style with your favourite colours. Everything needed for your session is provided (headbands, wraps, props, hats, designer outfits, etc) so you don’t have to buy a thing for your session. By booking your newborn photography session now, you’ll have one less thing to think about when your baby arrives.

THE PROCESS
Booking Your Newborn Photo Session
The best time to photograph your new baby is within 21 days of life, while they are still sleepy and love being all curled up. Some babies need to spend some time in the NICU so please do not let this deter you from booking a newborn photo session as I have lots of experience photographing newborns up to 90 days old.
I recommend booking your due date into our calendar just after your 20 week ultrasound scan to ensure you have a spot. Because baby’s typically arrive before or after due dates, we set our actual session date in our studio after baby arrives. If baby is already here, please inquire to see if there is room in our schedule to accommodate your session.
You’ll also receive an invoice to pay for your Session Fee to officially book in your due date to ensure your spot and a second invoice to pay for your chosen collection before your session takes place. By pre-purchasing your collection you’ll have one less thing to worry about when baby arrives.

Planning your Newborn Photoshoot
Before your baby arrives we’ll start planning your session. We’ll go over colours to choose from for your baby’s individual sets (we provide all the props, newborn outfits, wraps, backdrops, hats, headbands, etc in your chosen colour palette), what to bring and how to prepare for your session.
What To Expect On The Day Of Your Newborn Photography Session
On the day of your session, you’ll sit back and relax as you watch me expertly pose your newborn with their safety in mind and create beautiful baby poses which you’ll be proud to display on your wall at home. You can feel free to bring in personal props that have a sentimental meaning to you, incorporate items representing your rainbow baby or religion or culture and so much more. I know it can feel like a whirlwind in those first days and weeks with a baby at home, and you may be feeling extra tired but your newborn photography session will feel like a celebration of new life and I promise to make it as stress free as possible.
What To Expect After Your Newborn Photography Session
You’ll receive your private, online proofing gallery within 24 hours to select your favourite portraits from the photoshoot. The number of digital images included in your pre-purchased collection and any additional digital images, fine art prints and any other artwork you’d like will be chosen and paid for during this proofing stage. Final editing will be made on your chosen images and delivered to you through digital download and any products you purchased will be available for studio pick up as soon as they come in. We know that clients appreciate getting everything they need to display their gorgeous portraits in one place and trust that we offer the best keepsakes to remember such an important time in your life.

COLLECTION #1
Newborn WRAPPED/SWADDLED Session - $450 + HST
You will receive an online gallery within 48 hours after your session to review your proofs and choose your favourites.
What’s included:
30-60 minute studio session. 2-4 Sets pre-designed by Jen in your favourite 2-4 colours
5 Digital Images via digital download
This is a Wrapped Only mini session meaning baby will be wrapped/swaddled for the entire session and pictures will be only of baby by themselves unless you choose to purchase add on parent portraits.
*Deposit $250 + HST non-refundable Session Fee due to book your due date/session into the calendar. Remaining balance of $175 + HST must be paid before the session date. Invoice for balance will be sent the week of the session.
COLLECTION #2
Newborn Alone Poses or with Parents Collection - $600 + HST
[Choose to only have baby portraits or add in parent + baby portraits. The choice is yours.]
You will receive an online gallery within 48 hours after your session to review your proofs and choose your favourites.
What’s included:
1-2 hour custom styled session in my studio. Sets pre-designed by Jen in your favourite 2-4 colours
10 Digital Images via digital download
Complimentary studio baby milestone photo session when your baby is 6-7 months old (includes 3 digital images).
*Deposit $250 + HST non-refundable Session Fee due to book your due date/session into the calendar. Remaining balance of $350+ HST must be paid before the session date. Invoice for balance will be sent the week of the session.
COLLECTION #3 - Our Most Popular Choice
Newborn & Family Collection - $750 + HST
You will receive an online gallery within 48 hours after your session to review your proofs and choose your favourites.
What’s included:
2-3 hour custom styled session in my studio. Sets pre-designed by Jen in your favourite 2-4 colour palettes
Newborn & Parent/Sibling/Family Posing
15 Digital Images Included via digital download
