Childhood is supposed to be fun and happy and family photoshoots with me are the same! I want to capture that great smiling photo that’s perfect for grandma but I also want to share what happens when you tickle your kids, or you play a game or the special way your little one loves to hug you. We’ll capture it all during our session together. Whether you choose a family photography mini session that is short and sweet - great for updating pictures for a special occasion or you want the full session where we spend the time exploring a park because your children do better with more time, we’ll create those magical portraits you’ve been craving. OUTDOOR KINGSTON FAMILY PHOTOS
You’ve had your heart set on an outdoor Family Photography Session with Jennifer Willard Photography at one of our signature parks and we’re here to deliver! We’ll go through a variety of poses in that area of the park (we have specific spots we love to photograph at during our sunset sessions to give us the best light).
Our sessions take place when it’s the best light of the day in the best locations.
Our portfolio shows most images taken at 2 hours before sunset for that great golden light.

p.p.s. It may be obvious by now that I love rich and vibrant true to life colour and so do a lot of my clients but if your heart is loving that neutral vibe with soft muted colours and tones (think brown or desaturated colours) then I’m probably not the right photographer for you. And that’s okay! You may want to search for a lifestyle photographer as they tend to use muted, vintage tones in their editing.

WHAT TO WEAR TO A FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT
These aren’t your mama’s portraits! No one wants everyone to be dressed identically like we did when we were younger (white shirts and jeans for the whole family need to stay in the 90’s where they belong)! We want your family photos to be full of personality and to reflect your personal style! That’s why I’ve created this handy guide to give you great tips about what to wear (and what not to wear!) to a family photoshoot outside whether your session takes place in the Spring, Summer or Fall.
Pro Tip: Just say no to the Mickey Mouse
Avoid logos, huge Disney characters on shirts, or words on shirts. Any words and characters on shirts will easily fold and you won’t see the words, especially as you’ll hear me say ‘get snuggly’ a few times during the session.

FAMILY MINI SESSION - varies by type of session
Your choice of High Resolution Digital Images Professionally Hand Edited from a proofing gallery
Your photoshoot will take place at a specific location on a specific date pre-determined by Jen in a mini marathon type of format. Your session will include a certain amount of digital images chosen by you.
You’ll choose the type of mini session you like best and choose the time that works best for you on the specific date available through the booking system online.

FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT - $600 + HST
Your choice of 20 High Resolution Digital Images Professionally Hand Edited from a proofing gallery of up to 40 images
Your 1 hour photoshoot takes place on a date, time and location of your choice. We recommend 2 hours before sunset or 9am in the morning for the best light, at a Kingston location like Lake Ontario Park or Lemoine Point Park but any outdoor location in the Kingston area (family cottage, etc) is a possibility. We’ll give you available dates to choose from and work with you on planning this special family session.
*Add on extended family (grandparents, cousins, etc.) for $100 + HST.
