Welcoming a new baby into the family is always special — but there’s something extra meaningful about photographing a family I’ve already had the joy of working with before.
This newborn photography session featured the most beautiful blend of pink and sage green tones, thoughtfully styled with soft furs, delicate flowers, cozy wraps, textured blankets, and the sweetest little headbands. It was gentle, timeless, and full of emotion — the kind of session that feels just as good as it looks.
Even more special? Big sister once lay in this very studio as a newborn herself just a few short years ago. Now, she returned with excitement written all over her face, ready to meet — and proudly pose with — her brand new baby sister.

The result was a cohesive gallery that flowed effortlessly from one setup to the next, while still offering enough variety to tell a complete story.

Every prop and fabric used in the studio is chosen with both comfort and safety in mind. Newborn sessions are slow, gentle, and entirely baby-led. Wraps are soft and breathable, poses are natural, and transitions happen only when baby is settled and content.
This session was no exception — baby girl slept peacefully through much of her time in the studio, allowing us to create those dreamy, curled-up portraits that parents love so much.

One of the most emotional parts of this newborn photography session was watching big sister step into her new role.
She was so excited to have a baby sister — carefully holding tiny hands, leaning in for kisses, and proudly standing beside her parents for family portraits. These moments are fleeting, especially in those early days when siblings are still learning what it means to share their parents and welcome a new baby home.
Including siblings in newborn sessions creates images that go far beyond posed portraits. They capture:
